Veeam Backup for Microsoft Office 365 v2 cumulative patch released

On the 29th of December a cumulative patch for Veeam Backup for Microsoft Office 365 v2 has been released. This patch intends to deliver optimizations to SharePoint Online and OneDrive for Business interactions.

It also includes a set of bug fixes regarding SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business and Exchange Online processing.

The patch also brings some new features regarding Veeam Backup & Replication 9.5 Update 4 compatibility.

New Features

  • The support for Veeam Backup & Replication 9.5 Update 4 regarding the Veeam Explorer for Microsoft Exchange and Veeam Explorer for Microsoft SharePoint compatibility.
  • The support for Veeam Cloud Connect 9.5 Update 4 compatibility.

Also please make sure, if you have any remote proxies in your Veeam Backup for Office 365 v2 environment, update them as described in the Veeam Help Center.

Upgrading a Proxy Server in Veeam Backup for Office 365 v2

Note

Before you start to patch your environment, make sure that you are running Veeam Backup for Microsoft Office 365 build number 2.0.0.567 or 2.0.0.594. As usual you can check the product version under Help > About in the Veeam Backup for Microsoft Office 365 console.

After the patch has been applied, your build number will change to 2.0.0.814.
